Ivie Emokpae Okwuegbuna a qualified teacher from Nigeria and England is an assistant head teacher in an inner city school in the UK.
She is also a qualified special needs practitioner for children between the ages of 3-11. Mrs O, as she is fondly called by her pupils, is an early intervention teacher and a specialist in reading and child assessment.
After graduating with B.A in English from the University of Lagos, She taught in Grange and Corona schools before enrolling for a Master’s degree in Education. She currently holds 2 Masters in Education and a postgraduate certificate in Special Educational Needs from the Institute of Education, London, as well as a post graduate diploma in Asperger’s Syndrome from the University of Sheffield Hallam.
She is a Listening Programme Provider and is presently completing an IBCEES to qualify as a certified autism teacher. Ivie has an outstanding 20 year track record of successful classroom practice. She has led many research projects and written policies for schools.
